Shakespeare Superteam LXL Match Rod 14ft

The concept behind this development was to produce a range of multi length match rods that provided: Perfect actions and balance at both lengths - Multi length rods have historically used an extension section between the butt and middle section. This has a massive impact on the rods balance, making them top heavy. The action also suffers as the extension makes the rod softer and less responsive. To resolve this problem on the longer option, the Superteam LXL uses a common tip and number two section with a dedicated number 3 and butt. On the shorter options an alternative butt section is used. These rods therefore display perfect balance and action in both the 3 or 4 section configurations. Versatility - Blanks that are slim, light, exceptionally strong and do not 'lock up'. The action displayed is progressive and very responsive allowing for a wide variety of float fishing situations. These are equally at home catching roach and chub on a river with delicate hooks and line (size 22 - 0.08) or hammering out carp on a commercial with 6lb line and meat hooks! The rods have been developed and field tested by various members of the Shakespeare team in a variety of situations e.g. on river, lake and commercial waters.
