Until recently little was known about Rob Hales' Acton Burnell fishery except that it was one of the best carp waters in the country. Special guest Kevin Maddocks joins syndicate leader Rob Hales for a session on the water. Rob explains the history of the place and the unique way in which he has created such a special fishery by draining it dry, fertilising it and removing all other species. Rob's management policy continues with the careful monitoring of weed growth, development of natural food and the progress of each fish. It's no wonder that the carp world has seen some of the best growth rates ever recorded in the country at Acton. Rob and Kevin use their considerable experience in an attempt to outwit the clever carp and land fish to nearly 40 pounds for the camera. Other members' fish are also featured and this programme includes carp to nearly 50 pounds!
