Fishing DVD - Pole Fishing On Rivers

T he development of long carbon-fibre poles has resulted in new approaches to river fishing and allowed the angler to present his bait, on certain days, in a much better way than with a conventional rod + reel approach. In this video, filmed on the River Trent near Nottingham, England International Dave Harrell explains how to use the pole to good effect on flowing water. In the first part of the film Dave fishes a deep swim using groundbait and big floats. He then moves on to a shallow stretch using loose feed to attract the fish. The River Trent doesn't let him down as the action in both swims is superb, illustrating just how good a pole approach can be on rivers.
