Neville Fiking is 39 years of age and works as a fisheries management consultant. He is also a partner in a specialist fishing tackle firm. He has pike fished since 1963 and during this time has caught 210 twenty pound plus pike, a figure unequalled by any living British pike angler. He has landed 7 pike over 30lb topped by a record-breaking fish of 41lb 6ozs. Neville is the only British angler to have caught pike, carp and catfish over 40lb. His other speciality is the zander and in 1970 he broke the record twice. Since then he has caught zander to 15lb 15oz. He enjoys pike fishing on any type of water through he particularly likes fishing in Ireland and on his native Fen drains. Over the years he has caught big pike from nearly every type of water. His experience of different waters is therefore unequalled and this experience comes into play during this video. Here four different waters are fished with good results from three of them. In this video Neville shows some of the methods, both from the bank and boat, that have led to his phenomenal success, and is seen catching pike from waters as far field as Yorkshire in the North, and Kent in the South of England. To conclude the video there is a boat fishing sequence on the now famous Bough Beech reservoir where Neville catches a pike 24lb.
